Be safe this summer from the sun’s damaging rays by protecting your skin with both a UVA and UVB
sunscreen.
Look for a broad-based sunscreen and one that has chemical- free active ingredients. Avoid sunscreen products that contain the ingredient oxybenzone. The substance has been linked to hormone disruption and may increase to certain forms of cancer and endometriosis. This is especially toxic to young children.
It’s always best to stay out of the sun during peak overhead hours. Use a safe SPF and preferably one that is water resistant, take your vitamin D, wear a hat and try some of the new sun blocking garments.
If you are getting any laser treatments or are getting chemical peels, be doubly aware to avoid the sun. During this time the skin is more is very vulnerable and will produce more melanin which lead to sunspots and hyper pigmentation.
