I have skin growths - what are they?

Body Beautiful Spa has many treatments that can remove a wide variety of skin growths and abnormalities, but you may not know what is on your skin just by looking at it. It is always recommended to consult with a medical professional for any concerns, and we may recommend after examining your skin that you consult with your doctor or dermatologists for certain conditions like melanoma or other suspicious lesions.

Take a look at the various skin growths and abnormalities, all of which can be removed by a qualified and licensed medical professional at Body Beautiful Spa.

Perhaps the most common skin irregularity affecting 85-100 percent of people at some point in their life, acne appears as raised pimples or black heads. Acne occurs when the sebaceous glands in the skin become inflamed or infected.

While they appear most commonly in adolescents, adults also can experience fairly widespread acne into middle age.

Milia are keratin-filled cysts that can appear just under the epidermis ormilia on the roof of the mouth. Milia are skin growths commonly associated with newborn babies but can appear on people of all ages. They are usually found around the nose and eyes, sometimes on the genitalia, and can also be confused with whiteheads.

In children, milia often disappear within two to four weeks. For adults, however  they can be persistent, and can be removed by an esthetician or physician

sebaceous-hyperplasiaSebaceous Hyperplasia

Sebaceous hyperplasia is a common, benign condition of sebaceous glands in adults middle aged or older. They manifest as yellowish, soft small papules or inflammatory papules on the face, particularly the nose, cheeks and forehead.

Its very clean in the spa with refreshments and lots of seating. The facial was great...it was deep pore so not as relaxing but still rejuvenating! Would recommend!"
