Is the procedure painful?

There is very little discomfort in most permanent cosmetic procedures. This is due to the application of a topical anesthetic before the permanent cosmetic procedure begins. Before starting any permanent Makeup, or permanent cosmetic procedure, you will know exactly what to expect.

What is involved in recovery?

Immediately following the procedure you will experience slight swelling and redness. Both symptoms subside quickly, however full lips tend to have longer residual swelling. You can resume normal activities right after the procedure. The normal complete healing period can be as much as two weeks at which time the final results of the procedure will be realized.

Can I still wear traditional Makeup over the tattooed area?

Yes! Permanent Makeup is designed to be only an enhancement to your natural features. Wearing additional cosmetics is a personal choice.

How long does permanent Makeup last?

How long does permanent Makeup take?

The average Permanent Makeup procedure takes an hour to two hours. Touch ups can take anywhere from half the time to the full amount depending on what is left to accomplish. This is a process.

What should I expect afterwards?

Dark Makeup! DO NOT have your Permanent Makeup applied right before any major events. Wait 5 days for permanent Makeup eyeliner and permanent Makeup brows and 10 days for any permanent Makeup lip procedures. The area will be tender and swollen for a few days. The color will oxidize immediately after the procedure and look “too dark”. This is good! It can mean less of a Touch-up. The area will peel leaving less intense color within days. You will book your follow up appointment 4-6 weeks out to perfect your Makeup.

How long are the permanent Makeup procedures?

It takes about 2 hours for both Full Permanent Makeup Eyeliner and Brows and 3 hours for Permanent Cosmetic Full Lips. Everything else takes less than an hour and a half. Thirty minutes to an hour of the procedure time we will review your medical history and thoroughly discuss your Permanent Makeup needs.

What about changing styles?

What do I have to do before my permanent Makeup appointment?

1. Give Yourself Healing Time! Make sure you have no major events at least 3-4 days after your procedure. It is also wise to wait a week before going on any exotic vacations.
2. Stop wearing contacts a day before permanent Makeup Eyeliner procedures. Bring eyeglasses to procedures.
3. Avoid alcohol, Vitamin E, Multi-Vitamins, Niacin, St Johns Wart, Evening Primrose Oil, Ginko-Biloba, Aspirin (any non-vital blood thinners) for 3 DAYS hours before all permanent Makeup procedures.
4. Do not wear any Makeup to the permanent Makeup procedure, unless specified.
5. Gently exfoliate and moisturize the procedure area.
