Acne Treatments

Active acne can be tamed and cured! Our experienced licensed aestheticians have extensive training in personalizing acne treatments so that you get real results fast.

Deep Pore Facial

A deep pore facial is a cleansing treatment to remove oil and dirt from facial pores. Cosmeceutical grade quality products are used in our Deep Pore Facial to effectively deep cleanse the skin and exfoliate dry dead skin. Then face is steamed to open pores, followed by extractions to eliminate pore blockage, if appropriate. Next is a nourishing facial mask, followed by a light moisturizer and sun screen. Deep pore facials should not be done more than twice a month.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels for acne can drastically improve acne condition and the overall appearance of the skin. Chemical peels for acne work by removing the surface layers of the skin in order to expose the fresh and unaffected layers below. Chemical peels for acne have proven to be efficient at treating many types of acne with little risk of complications. Chemical peels have also been proven successful in reducing the appearance of acne scars.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion strips away dead and damaged cells to stimulate healthy skin cells, reduce imperfections and improve the skin’s health. Microdermabrasion is effective on acne, blackheads, uneven skin tone, scars and dull, rough skin. Microdermabrasion is a superficial peeling that consists of brushing the face with sterile micro-particles to abrade or rub off the very top skin layer, then vacuuming away the particles and derm-abraded skin. Many studies over the last decade have found that microdermabrasion effectively helps clear many types of acne and can remediate acne scaring.

LED Blue Light Therapy

LED Blue Light Therapy works by increasing the production of certain photo sensitive chemicals which are produced by the acne causing bacteria. These chemicals in turn neutralize the bacteria, allowing the skin to return to its normal state. A complement to microdermabrasion or other oily and acne-prone skin treatments, LED Blue Light targets bacteria that cause acne. The bacteria are destroyed by a thermal reaction. LED Blue Light Therapy is an alternative for clients who do not respond well to antibiotic therapy or who develop problematic side effects. LED Blue Light also enhances collagen rejuvenation.

Clarisonic Pro

Oscillating back and forth at a sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second, the two dynamic zones of the Clarisonic Pro works with the skin, not against it. The Clairsonic Pro gets the skin two times cleaner than with manual cleansing. The Clarisonic sonic skin care system removes six times more makeup than manual cleansing, allowing daily skin care products to better penetrate the skin.

Acne Scar Treatments

One of our customers actually cried when she told us about feeling confident enough for the first time in years to open her front door without wearing make up because her acne scars were no longer marring her appearance. Acne scars can be successfully treated with laser and radiofrequency treatments. Treatments stimulate regeneration of collagen which uses the body’s own healing mechanisms to fill in acne scar pits.

Laser Genesis

Laser Genesis skin resurfacing evens out acne scarring and is particularly effective in combination with other treatments such as chemical peels. Laser Genesis can also be used to improve the appearance of other scars anywhere on the body. Laser Genesis tightens pores and improves skin texture; it also targets the microvasculature (tiny vessels) beneath the skin surface, decreasing diffuse redness and ruddy complexions, including the redness caused by rosacea.
