Belotero Balance® is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler, just like Juvederm and Restylane. It can fill superficial wrinkles, such as frown lines between the eyes, crow’s feet, and vertical lip lines. However, Belotero Balance® can also fill deep folds, plump cheeks, volumize lips and contour noses.
Belotero Balance® is also the only dermal filler that can be injected into the back of the hands and décolletage (neck, chest and shoulders).
Belotero Balance® was FDA-approved in 2011. It joins Allergan’s Juvederm and Galderma’s Restylane as the only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers in the United States.
The unique formulation of Belotero Balance® can be used to treat:
Frown lines (glabella) in between your eyes that can make you appear angry all the time.
Brow furrows, also called worry lines
Crow's Feet (periorbital lines) at the corners of your eyes.
(Very deep crow's feet can be treated with Belotero, often in conjunction with Botox or Dysport)
Lines on the bridge of the nose
Cheekbone depressions - Belotero can be used alone or in conjuction with a thicker hyaluronic filler base such as Juvederm, Restylane, or Radiesse, to restore youthful fullness to cheeks.
Smile Lines (nasolabial folds) - The lines that run from the corner of your nose to the corners of your mouth can be filled with Belotero alone, or along with a thicker filler base, to restore youthful fullness.
Lines around the mouth and lips (perioral line) - You don't need to have ever smoked to get fine lines, or "smoker's lines," around the mouth.
Redefine the lip border - As you age, the border defining your lips naturally diminishes. This is what causes lipstick to "bleed." Belotero is great for restoring diminished lip borders.
Marionette lines - these run from the corners of your mouth downward to the jaw.
Wrinkles on your neck and decolletage (neck, chest and shoulders area)
Back of your hands and acne scars
